Presidents Day!


What is presidents day?

Presidents day is a celebration to the honor of all the presidents. Before the name of presidents day it was called Washington's birthday and was celebrated the same day as president George's Washington actual birthday. As mentioned before it was called Washington's birthday, but since president Abraham Lincoln born on the same month; almost close to Washington's birthday. Washington's birthday was renamed or referred as president's day. Back on the 1800s the day was only celebrated on the District of Columbia when it was first declared as a federal Holy day in 1870, signed for president Rutherford B. Hayes. 

When is it celebrated?

Presidents day is celebrated in the third Monday of February. Many theorize that this was settle due to not to match with any president's actual birthday.


How can it be celebrated? 

Ways of how presidents day can be celebrated are:
  1. Visit George's Washington birthday place monument.
  2. Go to a Presidents day parade.
  3. Visit the White house.
